What Millennials
Want

Flexibility
Millennial worker's often find themselves having to choose between flexibility and accountability, but a good balance is key to a productive work environment. Give them opportunities to showcase their skills in a unique and personal way, while also offering specific guidelines and expectations.
Collaboration
Group projects are no longer just for middle school science projects. Millennial worker's prefer projects that include some form of collaboration. When facilitated correctly, group work can allow an opportunity for new ideas to be born. A collaborative work culture is often more effective than a competitive one that can foster negative competition.
Work-Life Integration
Although not every profession and work environment allows for working from home or coming and going as one pleases, there is always room for some type of work-life integration. Work-life integration can be as simple as not feeling obligated to check work emails during a weekend away, or allowing employees to work from home one day a week. It all depends on what suits the work environment best. Good work-life integration results in happier and less-stressed employees.
Room for Growth
In past generations, "job hopping" was not a practice, once a career was chosen people would stay in that field or work, often at the same workplace, for several years. Millennial's have become known for moving from one job to the next, and this is widely due to recognizing a lack of growth. Millennial worker's want to work somewhere where they can grow overtime, learn new skills, and to be frank, get promoted and make more money.
